Such was the case for Emilio Pucci. Descended from one of the oldest noble houses in Italy, he was well-educated and heavily involved in politics. It wasn’t until he designed some skiwear for a friend that his designing talent came to light. Emilio Pucci was drawn to bright colors and geometric patterns. He not only designed clothing, but textiles. His bright Pucci prints are still in high demand today. After his death in 1992, his granddaughter continued to design under the name of Pucci. Today, they produce men’s and women’s apparel, accessories, and eyewear. Pucci sunglasses and prescription eyewear are both vibrant and utterly wearable.
